Virginia State University · Eta
Ettrick / Petersburg area, Virginia
Chartered: May 15, 1969
Founded in 1882, Virginia State University is a historically Black land-grant university in Ettrick, near Petersburg. Its long commitment to educational opportunity is part of the foundation our Eta alumni carry into Richmond. University history
All five Omicron Omega charter members were Eta alumni, making Virginia State a lasting part of our chapter’s foundation. Generations of Eta Brothers have carried their campus experience into Omicron Omega through leadership, service, fellowship, and the transition to alumni life. Many active Eta Brothers continue that tradition on the yard today, with Beta Gamma Omega serving as Eta’s overseeing graduate chapter.
Our connection reaches beyond Homecoming: Omicron Omega’s permanent VSU endowment supports educational opportunity, while relationships between senior Brothers, recent graduates, and undergraduates keep Scholarship, Fidelity, and Brotherhood moving from one generation to the next.
Virginia Union University · Theta Omicron

Virginia Union’s roots reach to 1865, when educators in Richmond began serving newly freed African Americans. That legacy of opportunity continues at this historically Black university on Richmond’s Northside. University history
Omicron Omega’s years of advising, relationship-building, and reactivation work helped welcome Cameron and Kamari as a new undergraduate generation in spring 2026. That renewed connection carries Brotherhood and leadership development between VUU and Richmond alumni.
Virginia Commonwealth University · Delta Delta

Chartered: March 4, 1999
Virginia Commonwealth University took its present form in 1968 through the merger of the Medical College of Virginia and Richmond Professional Institute. Its medical roots date to 1838, and its campuses are woven into Richmond’s city life. University history
Omicron Omega’s time on VCU’s campus includes supporting Delta Delta, building relationships with undergraduate Brothers, and contributing to efforts to restore Iota’s presence. Those connections remain part of our Richmond chapter story. Gamma Eta Omega is the graduate chapter currently overseeing reactivation efforts at VCU.
University of Virginia · Delta Lambda
Charlottesville, Virginia
Chartered: October 21, 2001
Founded in 1819 in Charlottesville, the University of Virginia grew around the Academical Village. Delta Lambda is part of Iota’s history at this public university and its wider Black Greek community. University history
Omicron Omega is working with UVA’s campus NPHC toward reactivating Delta Lambda and restoring Iota’s presence on the yard. This ongoing effort builds on our chapter’s history of undergraduate advisement and alumni support, connecting the work of rebuilding with a lasting commitment to Brotherhood. Radford University · Iota Iota
Radford / New River Valley, Virginia

Established in 1910 to prepare teachers, Radford grew from a school for women into a university serving Virginia’s New River Valley and beyond. Iota Iota’s 2025 charter adds a new chapter to Iota’s presence across the Commonwealth. University history
Brother Jamal Hill, one of Iota Iota’s charter members, brings a direct Radford connection to the Omicron Omega chapter family. From Richmond, we continue supporting his alma mater from afar and sustaining relationships with Radford Brothers as they grow their chapter and move into alumni life. That connection reminds us that Brotherhood reaches well beyond the city we call home.
